• General reception duties, including checking in and out of guests, answering telephone to company standards, making reservations and dealing with queries and inquiries. • Cash handling including float counting and banking in compliance with company standards. • Communicate any changes to room status throughout the day with housekeeping. • Bar duties, including setting up, replenishing of stocks, serving guests, cleaning tables and washing glasses. • Setting up, preparation, service and clearing of breakfast including using the dishwasher and general cleaning and tidying • Preparation and clearance of meeting rooms. • Communication of maintenance issues between Housekeeping and Maintenance Manager • Taking (and refusing) deliveries from suppliers • Completion of tasks as designated per shift • Ensuring that cleanliness is maintained in all public areas • Keep up to date with changes in the local area. • Make a note of customer comments with regard to bedrooms. • Be aware of the IHG Rewards Club loyalty programme and be actively involved in enrolling new members • Be actively involved in your personal development and training • Assist Night Manager with running of shift and under supervision be able to actively undertake more senior responsibilities. • Any other duties that may be requested by Management. Must be: • Articulate & communicative • Good written & oral English • Numerate • Well presented. • Good interpersonal skills • Organised and systematic • Concern for quality of product and service • Computer literate in a business environment • Team worker • Have a desire to progress and develop within the company. • An ability to learn without dedicated training. • To be able to anticipate needs of both Customers and Staff and act before being prompted.
