We are currently seeking a passionate and highly motivated Sport and Play Development Assistant who can join our busy Sport and Play Development Team. The post holder will work as part of our team to ensure that the casual coaches and leaders fulfil the numerous coaching and play sessions the team organise and deliver across the whole of the Borough, as well as supporting with high profile sports events. You'll take responsibility for making sure that all sessions comply with health and safety policies and procedures at all times and you will also be responsible for the organisation of holiday schemes and camps, sport and activity sessions and the marketing, delivery and monitoring of the junior leisure club scheme. In order to be considered for this role you'll have experience of organising and delivering sport and play sessions, hold qualifications to coach and lead sport sessions, have an outgoing personality, be a team player and be able to work flexible hours as required for the needs of the business (e.g. ad hoc - early mornings, evenings, school holidays and occasional weekends for events) This role is 18 hours a week but there may be opportunities for extra hours coaching and delivering on top of this. Once appointed to the post, the Council is also able to support the post holder to access further training and sport and play qualifications.
